Become a Mountain Biking Instructor and explore landscapes like you’ve never experienced before, all while teaching campers the fundamentals of this epic sport.
From riding skills to bike repair and maintenance, your experience will help campers become familiar with the ins and outs, allowing them to take part in trail riding and compete against other campers in time trials.
Your role will include the teaching of:
Helping campers learn key riding skills and techniques, including how to manoeuvre around tight turns, take on steep hills, how to use gears correctly
Creating safe time trial and trail riding routes that test the campers ability, varying in difficulty from beginner to advanced
Teaching the basics in bike maintenance (how to change a flat tyre, how to tighten brakes, how to adjust saddle position)
Helping campers ride in different terrains i.e. muddy ground, flat, hilly, road biking
Keeping campers safe and teaching basic safety measures (protective clothing, the importance of a helmet)
You may be required to complete a camp recognised first aid certification for this position.
Preferred Experience or Qualifications:
At least one year's experience of regular riding in easy off-road terrain
Ability to ride 16km in Off Road terrain.

This activity will push campers adventure levels to the limit, taking on the white and building their confidence and ability on the water with challenging and fun-filled activities.
If you are seeking a thrilling summer experience teaching a sport you love, then this is the role for you.
As a Whitewater Rafting/Kayaking Instructor,
Your role will include the teaching of:
Leading, arranging and running camp rafting adventures
Leading overnight extended expeditions
Explaining equipment (different paddle types, boat details)
Teaching paddle techniques
Teaching pre-trip orientations and safety briefings, such as voice commands to listen out for
Teaching campers what to do in an emergency situation, such as how to right a capsized craft and rescue techniques, Eskimo rolls
Discussing rapid class (1-5, 5 being the toughest)
The safety of campers taking part in any water-based activity at camp is paramount. You will be supported by other staff when leading these activities, as well as being required to have a ACA recognised lifeguard certification.

Confident swimmer
Leadership experience
BC River Raft Guide Award
BC White Water Safety & Rescue award & above

Skateboarding holds a level of nostalgia for many people, linking them to happy memories of them growing up, surrounded by friends down at the local skate park.
Re-create those great feelings by becoming a Skateboarding Instructor at camp and pass on your sweet skills to the next skateboarding star.
The campers will vary in ability, with most being at beginner level, so it is important that you are patient and encouraging; helping them to gain confidence on the board and progress to performing skills and tricks.
If you love to skate and enjoy teaching others, this is the role for you. Camper safety is paramount so you must be responsible. You may be required to complete a camp recognised first aid certification.
Your role will include the teaching of:
Going through the basics of the skateboard (the board, wheels, grip, proper stance)
Teaching campers how to move on the board, turn corners, stop safely
Teaching tricks such as ollies, manuals, kick flips
Teaching skating in different terrains (skate park, street skating, half pipes)
Running through safety equipment required for each session (Helmet, knee pads, elbow pads)
Teaching basic repair and maintenance of the board
